Forget about racial and ethnicity classification based on formal and common usages , in China it's simple :
Hans vs anyone else. those who are not Hans will have their ethnicity on their identity cards, which limit what Education,zone,work,hotel, service they will be allowed to have access to or what method of police surveillance would be enforced, even if they do speak only Mandarin hence speaking/teaching /practicing their culture is a felony

Jews, Koreans, Vietnamese are considered Hans, as per their identity cards, no?

Yeah, I've never head someone wanting us to be more like China. Maybe with the economy, or green energy? But definitely not on human rights or quality of life.
