It makes you keep thinking... the only for sure good thing is getting rid of Ryno.

Ryan Anderson would never play as a Rocket.
D' Camelo Melton would not play as a Rocket.

Chriss may or may not play.
    Brandon Knight seems serviciable.

Rockets save $$$ for being over the cap plus 1 possible serviciable veteran asset.

Then next year we have flexiblity to trade expiring contracts.

Wait a year on Anderson and he's an expiring contract (becomes an asset).

Brandon Knight is not serviceable. He's a grossly overpayed player who can't shoot and can't defend.

Chriss is much further away from getting on the court then Melton, who had a real pathway to some minutes through his elite defense.

I just don't understand why people think this was a great deal. I think it was just a Lux tax saving move.

Knight was actually a ok 3pt shooter before doing his ACL but I could be wrong

Or you could say his 3pt shot went out of the window once he joined the Suns.

For Detroit he shot about 37%, he shot 36.7% in Milwaukee. His first 4 seasons.

In 3 years he shot 32.6% from 3 for Phoenix. Before he tore that ACL.

This off-season kind of reminds me of that year we had a whole bunch of pgs trying to play for the starting spot (rafer alston won it out) except its with MCW, Melo and these 2 guys from Phoenix. They've all got something to prove and trying to make it big on the team.

I'm rooting for Marquese. If his head levels up to his physical gifts, then watch out. And CP and James are too talented to not make use of him.

You sound exactly like someone who doesn’t know or seen enough of knight or Chriss. Bc this scouting report of yours is all kinds of false. Especially when you somehow think Melton who hasn’t played a lick of actual nba minutes is apparently more qualified to be on the court then someone who has been playing

Losing Melton sucks, but if I'm gonna be realistic he is too short to play SF his best case is backup to Cp3 and eventual starter 4 years later when our window has passed.

Getting rid of Ryan Scrubberson is not just addition but squared by substraction the Rox just got a major boost by dumping that scrub just cause MDA will never play him again.

Brandon Knight is a decent player, not sure what happened to him in PHX but he was pretty good before. Worst case he is a mediocre starter playing a backup role, we just became the deepest and best backcourt in the league. So we dump Anderson, get Knight and a prospect all for Melton?

    Morey the wizard strikes again!

Even crazier PHX also became better due to this trade, Scrubberson is gonna thrive and probably gonna score 16 ppg now that he is on a lotto team again and the bright lights are off him again. Maybe midseason we can ship out hus BFF Gordon for Booker and a pick lol

Bro he is probably a member of the Ryan Scrubberson fanclub thats why he dislikes this move.

Only idiots or Anderson fans or both hate this trade. Good win win for both sides.

Melton's a 2nd round pick what best value are you expecting exactly?

Clipps gave up a top1 pick to the Cavs to get rid of Baron Davis' contract. All we gave up was Melton and we got a serviceable backup in exchange.

I'd say it was highway robbery except PHX also improved with this trade, Anderson complements Ayton and Melton would be the defensive stud Booker needed.

It was a great win win for both unless Cousins comes back 100% I put the Rox as the new no 1 in the league.

This idiot does not like the trade. But I'm not a member of the ryno fan club. Didn't realize he even had a fan club. I've been a vocal opponent of his signing from the beginning.

when someone disagrees with you, that doesn't make them an idiot. Have some class bro. This is just a fan forum. It's not personal. Save the insults for when someone actually wrongs you in the real world. How old are you?

I did donate to clutchfans, multiple times ib fact I used to donate every xmas as a "thank you" since I have been using this site multiple times a day since a decade or so ago. It's not my fault nobody updated my sig but then again it doesn't matter since I don't use my sig to look down on other posters, I use their dumb posts to look down on them instead.

Great job lecturing me not to insult anyone then calling me a douche some "class" you have there.

Indeed, I tried to delete that last sentence right after I posted as my frustration got the better of me. No one likes being attacked and insulted. But you're too quick. Good on you. Have a great Labor Day. Thanks for inspiring me to try out the "ignore" function for the first time.

I like the trade and I don't think we are done. Chriss is just a bench warmer or backup of some sort. No big deal here.

Knight is a 3rd guard behind Gordon just in case CP3 needs a break here or there for weeks or a month. He is much better service for us as a backup guard then Ryno.
