It's amazing that even though he knows he's going to be playing in a different system here in Houston, he hasn't adjusted his iso style of play. You almost gotta respect that about Melo...almost. I hope he understands that a Carmelo iso play in the mid post isn't a first, second, or even third option.

Being a new member has nothing to do with it. Saw it bumped once, twice ok no biggie but it's become a daily thing and for some reason that annoys me.

I suppose it is summer though and the thread is harmless.

 

But it’s an option that will be explored. When you get a player, you gotta take the game that comes with it. Yes, he will be asked to be at the three point line more, but just as with Joe Johnson.. we tried to get him in the post. Chris Paul still gets his mid range shots. Melo will get his, but you don’t want to regulate him to strictly being a spot up shooter, even though he will be asked to do a lot more than he’s used to.

 

In the playoffs, a Carmelo isolation is certainly a second-third option, especially when James/CP3 are getting rest, or we get Steph switched onto Melo.
