Dude, you need to spoiler that. Think of the children ... or least the Russian children who read this board.

This article lays out pretty clearly what seems most likely what Trump and McConnell are trying to accomplish here with this bizarre Sessions firing drama.

I don’t think Trump is a strategizer by any means but he’s very very wiley and I think he unconsciously works towards the same conclusions as anyone would if they were in his predicament.

The only difference here is that Trump is needing to do all the above because of his own incompetence that got him into the situations he then needs to get out of by being crafty naturally.

For the record though... I think McConnell is playing Trump here and will sell him down the river to the Feds the moment he gets what he wants. Which is multiple generations of hard core conservative justices who take the country back to 1950’s socially with post Reagan corporatism. I think McConnell and co are telling him “do this in the lame duck period” knowing he’ll never be able to exercute this strategy anyways. Point being... they are just buying time to get Kavanaugh confirmed.

No wonder trump seems obsessed with getting Ohr fired (or at least, hurt his credibility)...

It is funny that people continue to say there is nothing to the whole Russia thing. Or those that say Democrats need to move on from that and stop focusing on it.

The point is that at this point the Democrats (and Republicans) should focus on it because it is the right thing to do, not because it will help them win elections or that it's some sort of good political strategy.

With all of the evidence of what's going on, it shouldn't be about politics but investigating and prosecuting crimes as well as protecting the United States from further espionage attacks.

    George Papadopoulos' sentencing memo implies
Trump and Sessions approved of Putin meeting

Lawyers for former Trump campaign policy adviser George Papadopoulos issued a sentencing memo regarding his plea deal surrounding the Mueller Russia investigation.

The memo states that President Trump "nodded with approval" when Papadopoulos said
he could facilitate a meeting between then-candidate Trump and Vladimir Putin,
while Jeff Sessions suggested the campaign "look into it."

It's a logical strategy... if a man cares much more for himself than his office, his country, or anything else.

Question though: how is one "framed" into obstructing justice in the most obvious and hamfisted way imaginable?

In other words: what a joke, for any remotely objective viewer. Unless he means framed by his advisers and Mitch the turtle.

Framed for being a traitor or obstructing justice or both?
