We deserve to lose after that 8th inning, but I have a good feeling about Marwin and White coming up. Treinen is a b**** though. Wish we had him.
Real question here - For the next three years every time Osuna gives up a run are we going to be subjected to this thread blowing up about “why did we get him” “he’s a woman beater”, etc? On the flip side whenever he shuts the door on teams are we going to have to listen to the other side say “that’s why we got him!”? Either way it’s f***** annoying and when will people move on?
What exactly needs to be addressed? Shifting is going to turn a lot of outs into hits and even more hits into outs. Unless you're tracking every shift and every out it creates and can show that the shifts are having a net negative effect over a large sample, the fact that it leads to some extra hits is not surprising or unexpected. It's part of the design of shifts. The more often they shift, the more extra hits will be created and noticed, but that doesn't mean it's not working.
Look, everybody knew that he is a good closer. However, we are also talking about character issues. The people who slandered the trade did not do so because of his performance on the field, it was about his character. That said, I'm not really confident in his ability to close. I still like Rondon better.
Yeah, I'm really not liking the A's. I hate them far more than Seattle, also in part because of the Warriors, and Seattle's long postseason drought makes me honestly feel bad for them.
