Corbin Martin through 3 innings has allowed 3 earned runs but has 8 k's. Unfortunately the 8th K was a wild pitch which allowed a run and continued the inning.
For some reason can't edit my post so going to reply. Apparently the box score now says he's only allowed 1 earned run. Maybe tge the wild pitch became an error on the catcher.
Nathan Perry hit his second NYPL homer and Carlos Machado went 5-5 with a couple of runs scored to raise his average to .325.
Machado’s a big sleeper. Had success at every stop so far. Good defense in RF. Rarely strikes out. Decent speed. Frame for power. Just turned 20. For now he and Bryan De La Cruz are guys I think could break out next season.
Alex McKenna went 3-4 and hit his first Midwest League homer, a solo shot, in Quad Cities' 8-2 win. McKenna now has six home runs on the season between Tri-City and Quad Cities. Jonathan Lacroix went 3-5 with a couple of doubles and drove in five. After striking out a career-high 11 in his last start, Chad Donato struck out ten in 5.2 innings. He's now 8-0 with a 1.76 ERA with 87 strikeouts in 71.2 innings this season. Donato has allowed 44 hits, two of which are home runs.
J.B. Bukauskas gave up a three-run homer in the 1st but his offense picked him up with seven runs in the bottom of the inning.
^^^Hardy allowed a hit, walked one, and struck out eight over three scoreless innings. J.B. went five innings and the three-run homer was the only scoring play he allowed. He allowed two other hits, walked four, and struck out eight.
Not unless they think he is their best option. The Astros need to worry about winning the division and setting up their post season club.

I knew Tucker was hot in Fresno, but I didn't realize he was that hot. 9 HR in his last 9 AAA games and hitting .524. He really needs to be in the majors getting regular AB's so he can get comfortable, but unfortunately circumstances don't allow us to give on the job training to a guy who isn't producing right now. We shouldn't call him up unless he's gonna play virtually every day. He now has 39 HR in 166 games between AA and AAA, which is a really nice power showing. Particularly for a 21 year old who likely still has some power growth left.
