    Beto vs. Beta

Ted's wife and father must be thrilled to watch him bend over backward to lick the boots of the man who personally insulted them for the better part of a year. Almost as thrilled as Texans have been to be used as a stepping stone to the presidency by this smarmy debate club chairman for 6 years.

I think it's close in the world of what people will answer over the phone. But it's all for the good. If nothing else, maybe the GOP will start feeling that they can't run any garden variety self-serving miscreant for office and keep winning every race in TX.

Hopefully Beto can pull this off. If not, it's too bad people tends to stick to party. Beto is such much a better person than Cruz.

If you are independent and are voting for Ted Cruz...why? I understand voting along party lines, but if you are an independent and have no party allegiance, why vote for that slimeball Cruz over someone that seems like an actual good person?

By reading this thread it seems like all the complaints from liberals are ad hominem. I guess not everyone cares what a politician looks like

Maybe after losing to Cruz, Beto should move to California and run for office there since it seems like most of his support comes from there

Ted Cruz and RocketsLegend preying on those unable to think critically. The disrespecting the flag and troops narrative is for those who only want to deny what the protest means to the actual protesters.

OMG, people from California liked him?

I hope you get laid off from the troll farm you work for when all this stuff blows over in a couple months.

Ted Cruz has been a creep since he was a teenager, I can't vouch for before then. Much like with the president, I'd vote for literally anyone over him.

He just needs to go away.

If you were raised well enough to have a moral compass, you too would have issues supporting scumbags like Cruz or supporting lying, corrupt, and sexual harassing scumbags like Trump.

    But here we are.

As usual, your take lamer than lame. And no surprise an intelligent person like Steve Kerr liked and acknowledged Beto's statement. I bet "Texans" like Greg Popovich and Daryl Morey agree with Kerr's position. Face it, Beto's eloquent statement was extremely popular and a potential "star turn" and cruz had to reach for his trump supporters. Maybe cruz has some accomplishments or something positive about himself to convince voters to vote for him but so far... sure seems he has to resort to a negative campaign. Figures... the guy is simply slimy.

I’m so tired of the flag protest talk. Is this really what they’re going to be debating? Lame

Still don't see a Democrat winning Texas Senator race but Beto has made it interesting.

I see it happening. While the polling is clearly against Beto, the advantage he has is energy. People often forget whatever the polls said, it's who turn out to vote that count.

Exactly. And statewide in Texas, that tends to be white people. If eligible Latinos voted, well....
