I don't have combat experience but I could imagine that if the opponent has a sniper that is close enough to tag me, it would be a very uneasy feeling whether he has pulled the trigger the last few days or not.

Its the assets attached to Ryno and the fact that he wont be sticking around after the season. Teams aren't going to offer Minny a premium because Jimmy Buckets has already told the Wolves NO to a $110M extension. They have no leverage. Everyone knows he doesn't want to be there. Sure , other teams CAN make them a better offer than the Rockets BUT I'd bet the suitors are limited to teams believing they are contenders. Other teams aren't going to throw away assets and watch him leave at seasons end - Its a rental. Why wouldnt Cleveland dump $10m in salary (over two years) by swapping Ryno for Love and whatever asset was attached ?! They suck anyway. They can suck just the same with Ryno and a pick / prospect than simply sucking with Love. Don't think there's any reason to discuss Porter , he aint happening. But there's bad teams who might take Ryno and assets in return for very good players who aren't in their long term plans as every asset gained is a step towards potential recovery for the franchise. they don't have to acquire a "Star", just a quality player that isn't a liability against …. I’m not saying that Jimmy Butler is staying with the Wolves, I think he’s gone, but it literally made no sense for him to agree to that extension Why would he agree to a 4/110 extension when he could become a free agent and get 5/188 from the Wolves or 4/140 from another team? It’s the same reason why Kyrie came out and said that it didn’t make any sense for him to sign an extension with the Celtics. What assets would we be attaching to Ryno? We barely have anything of value. Nobody wants our trash. These hypothetical teams won’t be able to do better than scrub Ryno and garbage for their very good players for what reason? The Cavs can get more than Ryno and trash for Kevin Love which is why it’s delusional to think that could happen. This is the same Kevin Love who was about to be traded for Gary Harris and picks just last summer, and he will put up numbers now that he’s the #1 option on the Cavs which will make him look better.

This is simple - the pool of teams willing to make the investment on such a rental is very limited considering the dominance of GSW. If a team doesn't think Butler (or any other player) makes them a true contender with a real chance to beat the Warriors , they probably don't take the risk. The deadline is probably very quiet again this season , no real big moves similar to last season.
even if that pool of teams is limited, a lot of those teams will have no problem beating a Ryno plus trash package...I’m not even talking about just Butler tho as u said that there’s bad teams who would give up very good players for Ryno too...I’m wondering why the best those very good players could get them is Ryno Ryno couldn’t get u Melo, Ryno isn’t getting Bazemore, and Ryno isn’t getting James Johnson either...nobody wants this scrub, even with trash attached to him
