That was interesting. If one is in favor of land redistribution based on prior injustices,a lot of us need to be ready to move for the Indians who lived here first. Or perhaps, we just need to turn over Texas to Mexico or maybe Spain. Heck, land has changed hands through force so many times world wide, that it would be hard to figure out where to stop. Maybe this is just another example/way of doing it. But, it might explain why some people fear change and loss of power.

Agreed, history is often too deep and convoluted to use as the sole basis in judging right of ownership.

I think its better to recognize the historical background, have dialogue and hopefully some peaceful resolution can be achieved that is as fair as possible to all parties, but I really dont like the sound of prior offenders crying blue murder like some hapless victims.

More interracial marriages would also help blur the lines. Ethnic and racial difference often makes things worse.

Your explanation sounds reasonable. Or perhaps vice versa, eg trump's comms team wanted fox and carlson to cover the story and promote trump's announcement to look into the issue. In either event, it reinforces the close working relationship trump has only with fox news and more specifically the opinion side of fox news (carlson, perino, hannity, and fox & fiends).
