Hope the Texans protect Watson like the Colts did not do with Luck. They really ruined a hall of fame type career.
Thats my biggest worry is can this patchwork OLine keep Watson healthy and can our CB's actually cover someone.
The O line is much less of a concern this season than last season....as to the secondary, I'm hoping that the front 7 will be able to provide some pressure on QB's so that they won't have to defend for all that long.
Ironically, the scrambling ability that 'they' say makes him injury prone could be the very thing that protects him from injury.
Watt...Mercilus...Clowney. If they stay healthy, there's a fair chance we put a tad bit of pressure on QBs.
On paper the Texans have the defensive talent to be a top 5 squad in the NFL.....will it happen? If Watson stays healthy and doesn't significantly regress there's no team in the NFL the Texans straight up can't beat so that makes them a contender.
You won't sack the qb every play so the CB's will have to make a play once in a while. I am excited about the safeties being better than last year so hopefully that will help out some but the CB's we do have need to stay healthy and KJ needs to be a lot better than last year if he wants a new contract here.
...Brennan Williams, Travardo Williams, Sam Montgomery. Who you ask? Guys that never put on a Texans jersey. And lets be real, if Kevin Johnson was no longer on a rookie deal, would he still be on the team?
One thing this front office has shown, they love them some John McClain. John was right about Honey Badger's signing before anyone really believed it, he was right about Clowney not getting a deal when everyone was saying it was just about done, and then he said Clowney would be ready for week 1 even though he hadn't practiced. The days of not taking him seriously might be over soon.
And hopefully the rookie Ejiofor will contribute early on as well. Doesn't look like our defense will miss a beat this season.
That’s a good add. Just wondering why the Texans pick up Bryce Jones instead of a veteran like Breshaud Breeland
