Robert Mueller, Former F.B.I. Director, Is Named Special Counsel for Russia Investigation

It has been TWO YEARS, with hundreds of thousands of investigation man hours... but okay, you keep living the dream.

 

If you can't prove he did, it doesn't matter. The same crap happened with Hillary and Benghazi, and Bush with WMD. Know when you've lost and focus on areas where you actually have a chance of making a difference. Limit his agenda, and growth of power, and fight for reform to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Or, we can relive this crap all over again in a few years with another major politician who is untouchable.

 

Who cares? It has been proven he has lied over 5000 times. Adding another to the list doesn't do a damn thing. We know he is a liar.

 

Keep repeating that to yourself... the president of the United States is a liar, a known liar, and one that will continue to lie. And you don't care.

Where did I say I don't care? What does me calling him a liar do? It's been done more than 5,000 times and we're no better off now. I prefer to actually care about solutions to solvable problems. Calling him a liar does nothing, he's the President no matter how much I wish it wasn't so.

Weird how I got the impression you don't care:

 

The "Who Cares" is in a response to a single lie, he's done if over 5,000 times. Posting another, "LOOK, TRUMP LIED AGAIN" is a "who cares" moment. Because it isn't news that he lies. WE KNOW HE LIES. That's like getting to work every morning and saying, "THE SKY IS BLUE," well... we know.

What we disagree on is why he lies. I think he lies and spreads vitriol as a distraction, because his detractors are all too eager to jump on it, to show how terrible he is, and while they are doing so, he does what he wants.

You think he lies and spreads vitriol just because he is a terrible person and an idiot. But hey, you've got another nasty lie to add to the list. That will show him!

 

Actually, I think both are true. And I don't think Americans should accept his constant lying.

 

I have no idea if Mueller can prove it or not, but it seems like we will find out. Your stance is pretty odd considering this isn't over yet.... Benghazi never moved past committee and was purely political theater, this is not.

 

Why not all of the above? Sprinkle in that he's just an aggressive marketer, as others have said. That's who he is, so he is constantly messaging and marketing in a way detached from reality or truth. Trump steaks. Trump university. Trump presidency. Not a terrible person, not a brilliant distractor. Just a late night TV marketer extraordinaire. Or all of the above.

 

You don't have to accept it, but you can't do anything about it. He's had a revolving door of people around him who have tried to stop him. The only way you can stop him is in November of 2020.

You could slow him down, if your politicians put their efforts into that, but they are praying and hoping for that "gotcha" moment instead.

The point is, even if something is found out, what will happen? Nothing. Even if he is disgraced and leaves office, nothing really changes. 2020 where change can happen. Even the midterms won't change much because the GOP won't lose the senate.

 

His power comes from his opponents not taking him seriously, and thinking he is a fool. One would think Liberals would figure out they'd been duped when he was sworn in, but clearly they have not. Just look at everything he's been able to do, without much if any fight from Democratic politicians. Instead of focusing on his policies, they are focusing on his dirty deeds. Meanwhile, his policies are all he really cares about.

 

He wasn't sworn in because liberals thought he was a fool. He was sworn in because he got people to vote for him. It wasn't the liberals that voted for him.

It is fair to say that the liberals didn't get a candidate nominated that could beat Trump. But it is still the fault of the people that did vote for him.

On the serious, we can clearly disagree, but I think you give him way too much credit for caring about policy. He definitely wants to erase Obama. So if that's a policy, then we can agree.
