Honeymoon been over for a little while now. His historic start with the team has about run its course. Can't get too upset though, we got a WS out of it.
What a letdown there by Verlander after the offense finally woke up. Don't understand him pumping all these fastballs to a hot, good hitting team.
Yeah, I mean that's true. You're absolutely right about that. Verlander was struggling before we got him too last year wasn't he? Maybe he's regressed to THAT Verlander. World series ring is always worth it though. He got it together long enough to help us win a ring. Just disappointing now.
The Astros staff recently has a seemingly total inability to put up a zero after the Stros get some important runs...see game 1 this series, 2 of the games in the Mariners series, etc... Outside of about 3 batters so far, he has abandoned the slider. Thank you, Gattis!
