I watched both hits and Johnson's was just an awkward fall--he seems very unlucky. Coates took a hit from a defender when he was in a vulnerable position. Training staff really would have no effect on either of these.

Deshaun has an above average arm.

Threw some pee rods last night.

That noodle arm narrative was a joke.

It's kind of tough to tell because we have so many regular season starters who aren't playing. On offense, both our starting WRs didn't see a play. However, as others have mentioned our WR corps looks good--really want to see Keke on the field. Watson looked sharp on the first drive and O-line looks much improved from last year's group. Even the 2nd unit looked ok. Wanted to see our young TEs get some opportunities and that really didn't happen. I think Red5's group will stick, but there is an outside chance for a 6th WR to stick depending on ST value. I think V. Smith made a case, but Chris Thompson was a ST ace last year. At RB, Miller looks ok and with more touches should do well. Blue is blue. Pope has some wiggle and is stout for a small guy, he may earn 3rd spot until Foreman can return.

On Defense, JJ, Clowney, Mercilus, Mathieu, McKinney, etc. didn't see the field. I continue to love the combo of Cunningham and Cole in the middle--great having depth and youth there. Ejiofor appears to be a steal. Very dynamic edge and did well on ST also. Looks like we'll have some decent depth on DL--guys like Dunn, Blackson, Kilgo, Hardison, and Heath all contributed. Justin Reid was active, saved a TD and made an excellent hit on another play. Kalambayi made perhaps a pivotal play on a tackle that saved 40ers from getting a 1st down that would have sealed the game. He looks fast, with maybe better instincts then we were led to believe from scouts. Josh Keyes is small, but seems to always make plays. Andre Chachere made me pause, never heard of the rook and he was making quite a few plays/tackles. Kevin Johnson got beat and then slammed his head into the turf to complete his cursed career. I'm hoping he turns it around this year, but that wasn't a good sign. Adding CB depth is something I imagine Gaine is working.

I think our Practice Squad is shaping up nicely with some young talent from these folks--Bellamy, Chachere, Coyle, Gilchrist, Jones-Smith, Roderick Johnson, Kalambayi, V. Smith, Swanson, Thornton, Virgin, and Weah. Virgin gets picked on a lot, but he keeps fighting.

Thomas played and they even split him out wide once that I remember, but he was mostly a blocker. He looked good in pass pro on the one play I remember. Like you I wanted to see him and Adkins get some targets.

Really liked Coates early in the game, but then we appeared to miss read a route and then T-Rexed the play that got him knocked out. He'll need to be more consistent, but I love his size and his hands look good.

Bobby still believes it. Won't admit he is wrong.

I think Virgin held his own yesterday. He wasn't terrible.

It was always about poor mechanics that caused his throws to be weak and inaccurate from time to time and it was never about physical strength. He managed to completely fix that in a ridiculously quick manner. It doesn't mean that he never had those problems, it just means he overcame them. This type of revisionist nonsense isn't productive.

Because I wasn't. Watson overcoming the flaws in the way he threw the ball doesn't mean that he never had those flaws. I get that goes over your head and is beyond your comprehension, so I'll understand if you don't get it. I'm not expecting any more than that from you given your history.

He really was though. He got lucky that their backup QB just flat out missed several throws where he was beaten or it would have looked a lot worse. There was a time where he was beat badly 3 plays in a row, one of which would have been an easy TD if not for an inaccurate pass.

    Pretty insane.

Got a chance to see Watson at camp against the 49ers.

His arm is as good as Weeden's whose regarded as having an elite fastball.

Its crazy how that first impression(combine) can follow you.

Aaron Rodgers at one time was seen as having an average arm.

Agents start leaking bad information prior to the draft to move their guys up.

Watson didn't have a noodle arm when he was carving up Alabama.

I do recall you saying these things last year.

And yes, he did fix them.

SMH we've discussed this enough to where you know better than this ridiculous take so I can only assume that it's intentional trolling.

So why pretend like it was never an issue if you now admit that he had those issues and fixed them? You've done this time and time again over the last year and that's why I say that I know you know better than your initial statement. The concerns about his throwing ability were legitimate, he just overcame the flaws in his game. You know that is true, so why keep pretending it's not?

He still made plays when it counted. He could have been a lot worse.

Worthless, in the context of what exactly? It has its own merit that proves tangible in the sport.
