That Niners WR screwed up, if he had just gone down, they had a time out and 3 seconds left. They could have had a hail mary attempt at the end zone or a long FG to tie. I know it doesn't really matter, but it's always better for players to make the smart plays in that situation.
Have you followed the Texan's special team performances through the years? Well, nothing has changed; they still suck.
Ellington and Coutee will be our magical slots. Our Receiver corp is so deep, very different from the times it was AJ and nobody else.So many weapons for Deshaun to play with. Just rewatched the first drive and he was so in control of everything. Read the inside lb blitz early and dumped off to Ellington for the big gain on the second play. Line played well, even the right side. Really impressed with Davenports progress in just year 2. Watson makes such quick reads and moves so fluidly inside the pocket though. Im really excited for the year.Secondary better pick it up.
On the secondary, Tyrann Mathieu hasn’t played a snap yet. Same for Johnothan Joesph. I think they’ll be fine.
The Texans had more concussions last season than any team I can ever remember. Add 2 more from last nights game and have to wonder if this is a training/medical staff issue or just bad luck (maybe a bit of both).
From the calls we saw last night and several that I've seen in highlights from other games, I can already tell that I'm going to be furious about 6-8 times this year. I hope that we don't lose a game because of this stupid new rule about not lowering your head.
Wideouts: Hopkins Fuller Ellington Coates Coutee This is what I’m hoping for. But what’s up with Jordan Thomas? Why hasn’t he played? Feel like we won’t see him until the last preseason game when nothing matters.
He's played, he just hasn't had any targets for whatever reason. Got flagged for a hold last night, IIRC.
