haha - the only one engaging in "whataboutism" here is you...i guess you are not smart enough to see that i was simply countering your "whatabout x" / made-up scenario with a real world example. you can make up all the scenarios you want, but again, in the real world trump derangement syndrome is much more prominent amongst so-called conservatives, who have compromised their beliefs, principles and morals just to support this childish narcissist.

I'm sure you think so kiddo.

It's not that what you are saying doesn't exist, it certainly does, but you are playing it up as an excuse for all of the laughable Trump Derangement Syndrome that the left is afflicted with. You guys go our of your way to demonstrate this pathological condition, so you can't just waive your hand and have people forget about it.

Fox paid $3 billion for the exclusive rights to TNF. Does that mean all of the people whining about the player protests and proclaiming they’re going to boycott the NFL and their backers will stop watching Fox?

Not sure why they care. So many have said they’re not watching the NFL.

Not sure why that's news. They are continuing their existing policy. I only recall the anthem on special games. Thanksgiving, playoffs, etc

Refusing to televise the anthem is how it should have been handled to begin with. It would have saved the NFL a lot of drama and protected the product without having to ask the players to do the right thing.

Trippy that the anthem was written 60 years before slavery ended.

They haven't been televising the anthem except on holiday or playoff games.

    From the article

"We generally have not broadcasted the anthem and I don’t think that will change this year. Our plan going into this year is to not broadcast the anthem,”

Right, that's ESPN, but that's what, 1 game a week? The Fox, CBS, NBC, and NFL Network games highlighted the kneelers during the anthem. I was saying if they all had that policy of just not showing it from the start, it would have been beneficial to the league and to the networks broadcasting the games.

Player have done what they and many other feel is right to point out there have been so many cases of injustice in America. And there are those that remain blinded to the fact that this has been going on for decades it's been called half truths claiming that it is a false narrative when it has been proven on many occasions to be the case.

For it to be a half truth, there would have to be some truth to the claims, and for the most part, there's not even that much. A bit of history for you, the issue that started the kneeling was a black criminal armed with a stolen gun being shot by a black police officer when the criminal attempted to shoot him. It was called "injustice" and there were riots over it yet there was literally no truth to the claim. In fact, that has been the case in nearly every supposed example of "injustice".

That's why it's best to just call it a false narrative.

Wrong again from his own words
“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color. To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way.” – 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, on his decision to sit during the national anthem

.....and he said this while there were riots in his hometown of Milwaukee going on as a result of a black police officer rightfully shooting a black criminal armed with a stolen gun....it was considered "oppression" by the r****ded BLM types rioting and by Kap. Since he couldn't make it to the riot due to his preseason football responsibilities, he decided to "do his part" by disrespecting the country on the behalf of the dead violent criminal.

There is nothing disrespectful about not standing or kneeling do you feel the about all those people that are at the conceesion stand or walking around while the anthem is playing.

LOL, you just posted his words that said he was doing it as a public display of a "lack of pride" in something, that's another way of saying showing disrespect. The intention was disrespect, thus it was disrespectful. You'd have been better off just ignoring his admission that it was intentionally disrespectful and simply parroting the spin that came out a little while later after they were in damage control mode after getting hit with the backlash from it.
