It may not affect you but it may affect your kids and their kids because this country is drifting away from its values, so if you think it’s no big deal that a few kneelers pushing anti Americanism and being publicized and normalized to millions of people then cool. I will not support anyone who chooses to piss on the graves of the men and women who died for our freedoms.

What about the freedom to protest? That’s been in our country since it’s founding.

I strongly disagree with your premise that quietly making a statement that the country does not provide the same freedom to all of its citizens is "anti-american". If this is what someone is teaching their kids, then that's the problem we should be focusing on.

None of which were choosing to disrespectfully protest during the anthem. And yes, those hundreds of people should stop and pay respect too. They do make it easy to spot Liberals that's for sure.

did trump disrespect the military, the flag and the country when he said that POWs are not heroic b/c they were captured and also insulted a gold star mother?

what kind of "values" is trump imparting on this country?

and i LOL at trump supporters who say they "will not support anyone who chooses to piss on the graves of the men and women who died for our freedoms." - again, trump insults POWs and gold star mothers and you love it. this issue just shows the blatant hypocrisy of trump and his brainwashed sycophants.

yall dont care about any of this stuff and everyone knows it.

Doesn't affect my kids (or more relevant, my grandkids) in the least. They are taught to respect the anthem. They are taught what the flag stands for. Most importantly they are taught the freedoms they have (and should appreciate) as Americans.

As they continue to get older, and have questions about situations like this, they will be taught as to why the protesters are protesting. Whether or not they agree with the protesters, they will be taught to see their point of view. They will be taught to research situations and not make knee jerk judgment values or allow others to tell them they should be upset.

Players being on the field for the National Anthem stated in 2009.

If you really want to help veterans, support increased pay and benefits for veterans........ not standing for the National Anthem 15 seconds before Pizza Hut or Pappa John's covers your screen with advertising.

They should stop and pay respect just like you do when you stand at attention during the playing of the anthem on TV? Oh wait... you don't do that, do you?

Protestors affect children. President's antics do not affect children.

I think some of you just need to be better parents.

    well said.

you have to be a pretty crappy parent if you are teaching your children to hold NFL players to a higher standard than the president.

You really struggle at keeping up, don't you? I pay respect when I'm at a venue where I am in attendance as a part of a unified show of respect to the country or person being honored. If those jackasses want to kneel while they are at home, have at it. Paying customers don't need them intentionally pissing on this country during a ceremony to honor it. People walking by should stop and respect the flag if they are at the venue, yes. You can keep making up stupid analogies but that doesn't change the fact you're on the losing side of this debate.

I guarantee you that if, in an alternate universe, a handful of white players knelt during the anthem to protest the perceived disrespect they see towards the police, they would be hailed as heroes.

We're still a cuntry of values buddy.

The day will come when all the libs rot in hell.

Then the children from everywhere, except the ones being torn apart at the border who are f'in low life criminals, will rejoice.

Your silly argument is simply getting sillier. You are saying its only important to show your respect to the country if others around you are standing and showing respect.

Ignoring the rest of your argument... the football players are not "pissing on this country" but rather showing why this country is great. Other countries, not so great, punish those who speak out against wrongs...

Ignoring the rest of it is what makes you clueless. Pay attention, if you are in attendance where the country is being honored and asked to show respect, do so. You have to be smarter than this,

There are white players joining this protest and they are included when I refer to jackasses.... So you just defaulted on your guarantee.

No.... my guarantee still stands. You think in my hypothetical, that the President would be issuing the same rhetoric?

EDIT and the 'face' of the protests are black players and the issues are black related
