Luhnow.... this would be a good time to look for a bat. Redick has an OPS under .750.... Marwin barely has an OPS over .700.... same with Gurriel.... your catcher has an OPS around .600..... the DH (who does nothing else) can’t even squeeze out an .800 OPS and your “star” SS is barely over .800...... let’s not even get into Tucker who has no damn business being on an MLB roster with an OPS hovering around Mookie Betts OBP.
What kind of bad juju do we have at MMP? Even when we do take a lead we immediately give it up... it’s like clockwork. This is an ineptitude I can’t recall seeing since the dark days.
This is a putrid way to go out. Chugging along at a plus 100 win pace and literally fall off a cliff. Let’s hope our road dominance continues starting Friday. Something tells me it won’t. We got fairly lucky in San Fran. How we hung 14 on the Dodgers is sure as hell a mystery. We are making every pitcher look like Cy Young.
Yeah good teams are not this inept at home. Showing a lack of mental toughness and leadership right now.
Something very fitting about two on... 1 out and Gattis and Tucker both are out on one pitch each. Also there is no reason for Kyle Tucker to be in the big leagues.
Don't insult Everett. He hit like 0.270 with 11 homers in 2005, and had a glove better than anyone on this team. Many of our guys would dream to have those numbers.
Why do I get the sense that Oakland will not relinquish the division lead if they take it. Biggest series of the season coming up.
I don't know if I've ever seen this kind of drop off in any sport, not just baseball. it would be the equivalent of a football team starting the season 8-0 with an average winning margin of 10 points and then going 0-8 the rest of the way. It makes no sense. This is literally the worst team in baseball right now.
This is just pathetic. Nothing else to say. Astros are playing horrible baseball right now. If this doesnt change quickly we are toast.
Unreal...total collapse. No hitting whatsoever and the pitching is nothing to write home about as well.
They are going to mess around and not make the playoffs. On the plus side, we probably don't have to worry about Correa having a $200 million contract.
