The Pelicans are enamored with this twin towers thing -- Asik/Davis, Davis/Cousins, Davis/Okafor. They must believe this small ball thing is just a fad.

 

Twin towers are an even bigger fad the last twin tower I remember that worked was Davis and TD and that only worked because TD was one of the most versatile big men ever.

Yeah. GOAT PF and 1st guy you draft if you want a decade+ contending team. More importantly all the "drama" started when he left maybe you forgot but that was the time LMA started complaining about his role and guys like Jonathan Simmons started leaving the team for more money elsewhere which didn't really happen before unless it was gross overpayment. Spurs used to have their pick of Vets now they were being rejected by guys like DeWayne Dedmon. They were seen as the model franchise when was left suddenly Pops is too strict and controlling, Spurs system was unfun etc. all these problems started popping out because unlike TD, their new stars Kawhi and LMA never really bought into the Pops system. Notice how these two guys waited for TD to leave before they started complaining.
