good defense is still a top priority as it should be...high volume, low efficiency scorers with no D are typically bench guys u can’t start Melo at the 3, and Tucker deserves to start over Melo at the 4 Melo still coming here even tho it’s expected that he’ll be coming off the bench is a good thing...there should also be the expectation that he won’t be finishing a lot of games
I just don't see why you put all that burn on Tucker throughout the season while playing him at the 4. We don't play the GSW every single game through the regular season. Especially against the likes of; KAT, LMA, AD, Jokic, Nurkic, & Favors etc.
It’s still likely he starts I think but it doesn’t matter anyway bench if not he’s still getting those minutes 20-40 mins. I mean we don’t even have a starting SF unless we trade for one. Ennis is okay but not sure about starting material. I think a lot of descions are still gonna be played by ear
I agree I think it might be Gordon who starts. Harden theoretically should be better at defending 3s as opposed to 1s and 2s plus he’s strong and has a long wingspan. Cp3 and Gordon are two of the few guards in the league who can defend bigger guys because of there strength. Offensively there is no down fall. You start the game with your 3 best offensive players on the court. The rockets blitzed teams when all three played. Whether Gordon stars or not, who knows. But I’m sure they will all 3 be seeing a lot more time on the court together.
H-Town Melo and other MELOOFs: this is bullsh*t, Melo deserves to start...he’s still got it...if u add an extra made field goal per game then Melo was actually efficient last year
Melo coming off the bench is great and all, but the defense suffers when Tucker and Paul and presumably Ennis who’s gonna start then, heads to the bench in the middle/late first quarter and Melo gets into the game.
the media was going on and on about how Melo needs to accept a bench role, and CF was killing them when the Rockets think the same thing #mediaconspiracy
Ppl here that don't like Melo secretly giggling amongst themselves smh. This was never about Melo's fitting with the Rockets, you just don't like Carmelo Anthony smh. If he did agree to come off the bench, can ppl keep saying Melo doesn't want to win now?
Like all of the smartys around here have said, Melo would be a much better fit off of the bench. Thank goodness we coordinated this ahead of time! Those 2nd units are gonna get demolished by Melo! This is the best news all summer to me.
