I've seen Kemp play 2nd in the past. He's fine at that position. Absolutely no reason to keep putting Davis in the lineup when we have Kemp on the bench.
Reddick should’ve had him but a double, HBP and single is not a great start to the inning for keuchel.
Davis, fisher, stassi, White... they just routinely look lost at the plate. I swear a few of them are allergic to swinging the bat. White and stassi at least have moments of competnacy but far too often the whole lot of them look like they have no business in a major league batters box. What a snag by yulli.
lol - so far this guys look like they do not belong .. nothing compared to Tony Kemp (Which you can see belongs in the majors)
Has a single houston reporter even bothered to ask hinch why kemp doesn’t get any run at second? It’s hard to envision a reason why he isn’t in the lineup everyday. Putting Davis in makes us significantly worse offensively AND defensively. It’s just a head scratcher. Typically I wouldn’t give a damn given our insane injury luck but this A’s team is flat out on our heels. Trotting a lineup that has white, stassi and Davis on top of our pitcher is damn near guaranteeing 45% of our lineup goes 0-fer.
And that’s just asinine. Who wouldn’t take kemp against a lefty over Davis against anyone 100 times out of 100? Attaboy Jake. Maybe we can drive in a RISP w zero outs this time.
