Well if the goal is to beat the Warriors though, our offense really sputtered in that series. I know there are a lot of caveats to that series and small sample size and all that, but there is still room for growth for our offense in the playoffs. And Melo can help with that if he's somewhat back. Whether there's an equal downside to his defense I don't know, but just in terms of offense we can definitely still improve.

In response to your George Karl sig, Karl is a terrible human being. In his book he made a very racist assumption that Carmelo Sr. Walked out on Carmelo when the man actually died of cancer when Melo was 2 years old. It also shows how little Karl knew about his franchise player if he never knew such a basic detail. There is a reason Karl doesn’t have a job.

 

While that was a terrible thing to say about his father, it has nothing to do with Karl the coach and his comments on Melo as a basketball player and what he said has been proven true when looked at Melo's career.

 

It speaks to Karl’s character and thus taints his analysis. Drama has always followed Karl wherever he went.

 

I am not looking at his analysis in a vacuum. I can place it in context with Melo's career. Drama has followed Melo wherever he has gone as well.
