I missed most of this game, and I kind of want to watch a replay, because this was A+ pitching. Verlander...verlandered. Rondon looked imposing and fantastic.
Too busy beating their wives/girlfriends..... or, acting overly offended about it. Seriously, respect all ma'ams Is Osuna here yet ?
Anyone else kind of hoping Rondon can just keep this up so Osuna never ends up getting the closing gig and ultimately just sort of fizzles out long-term? I just don't really look forward to seeing that guy in an Astros uniform...
No, I hope Osuna is fantastic in an Astros uniform. And I hope he gets crap for hitting his girl (allegedly) for the rest of his life.
I was actually far more supportive of adding another lefty reliever and keeping Rondon as closer. Although I had some skepticism at times, I've become a big Rondon fan. Two more saves to go to pass Giles's team lead. I hope Rondon finishes the season as our team's save leader. Still rooting for Osuna to do well, I just hope he's found not guilty and this eventually passes and Astros fans will finally talk about other things.
The Astros have responded nicely since their tailspin against the Rangers. I love these guys. They are fighters.
Good win considering injuries. And Verlander wit a postseason performance. Are White and Davis supposed to be even decent players??
Great pitching performance as usual. But 5 .200 batters in the lineup against an nl team. Unacceptable, did the pitchers say something against having Gattis in these situations ? This is a trend we have noticed throughout the season against the better teams. Would have only scored 1 run were it not for an error.
Outstanding pitching, wonderful cameo by Kate Upton and the interview of Blum's world series seat by Julia was brilliant. All around great game, which I fell asleep in the 9th yet again! I should stop switching from the tv broadcast to the radio . Verlander and Maldonado looked very comfortable with each other. Rondon continues to impress.
If LMJ gets knocked around again tonight, I think it may be time for some rest. With all of these off days piled on top of each other, we don't even really need 5 starters for the next few weeks.
That was a thing of beauty. All that talk about how JV's 4-seam fastball doesn't fall and just goes in a straight line to the catcher while the batter swings below it anticipating it to drop into his bat...that's pretty cool. That one homerun JV gave up was a joke. It should have never happened.
