Yeah, we need to start calling out all fake Twitter follows if the deal doesn't go down................ And never ever trust them following anybody else ever again. Report them to Twitter as bots too......
"...the very nature of his job REQUIRES him to be deceptive.... (Doesn't everyone understand that he has to be this way at times in order to be good at his job?)"
Wait that's like my only contribution here, well that and cat memes. Spoiler (and before anyone poopoos on me, it's just a joke, not an actual trade proposal)
You're exaggerating, not calling out anyone, just saying that maybe we shouldn't assume something is going to happen because of a twitter follow just to end up burned later. I mean, it's not like that hasn't happened other times.
Tyler Johnson for RA might be a remote possibility, but I think Riley will ask for at least Melton, and almost certainly more than that. Is that worth it? I don't think so.
No way in hell i trade Melton for Tyler or any other Heat player, i'd trade a 1st rounder and other minor assets for Johnson or Winslow, but that's it.
please be true. I honestly think he's the perfect fit considering the current makeup of our team. He's the perfect compliment to melo at the 4. and will allow us to move Tucker to the 3 (i don't care what anyone says, PJ Tucker is a 3/4, not a 4). I am very concerned about our defensive drop off with luc and ariza gone and no adequate defensive replacements for them this offseason. Johnson would immediately fill that gap. he does everything well except shoot the 3. I think he'd be a real defensive upgrade for us in the front court.
When you mean Johnson do you mean Tyler or James? I wouldn't ever give up a 1st rounder for Tyler, but I would do that for James. Melton plus Clark can compensate for the loss of a low 1st round pick. The most I would offer for Tyler would be Vincent and RA. DM can use part of the MLE for another wing. Deng can be signed to a 2 way to develop too.
one more thing on Johnson. i just think he'd really help this team. he's 6'9" with a 7'1" winspan. averaged 11pts/5reb/4assists while playing 26 min. he averages a block and almost a steal per 20 min career. great defensive player; great passer; pretty good rebounder. the only thing he doesn't do well is shoot the 3. But i think he would be a huge defensive upgrade for our team; especially in the front court ...and he'd balance out melo's defensive deficiencies at the 4-spot. He could even rotate to the 5 when the matchup makes sense. Very versatile; can defend 5-3. Good mid-range shooter too; can create his own offense.
Yup I would like us to get him. He is bigger than Luc and would be able to dunk without us worrying he would get injured. Him and Ennis would be a good replacement for Ariza and Luc. And yea he is a good defender than can help the load put on tucker. James is a little taller and thicker and would fit in well here.
James since what we need most is a wing. Fwiw i think Tyler is an ok player, but i don't think we need him at this point. I'd still gladly take him for minor assets and Anderson if there's no other option but, yeah, certainly i wouldn't trade Melton or a 1st rounder for him. Even though, maybe, i think i would somehow understand moving a 1st in the scenario where we have to either take him or keep Anderson.
man that Heat roster is full of overpaid scrubs, no wonder they haven't gone anywhere since Lebron left.
