Woj Shams Stein All said Melo is en route to sign here. The other team that got a meeting with him (Miami) has publicly withdrawn their interest in pursuing him. He already spent 2 offseasons trying to force a trade here. This along with the multiple videos we have of him and CP practicing together. But yea, I’m sure you’re really onto something here and he will imminently sign with the Bulls or Kings.....

You're still referencing reports. Melo had a no trade clause and he waived it to go to OKC no matter how you spin it, Melo chose OKC. The only fact in this entire Melo drama is that Melo is now a free agent. Other than that, we know NOTHING factual. Melo has a decision to make.
Isn't the OP in the restaurant or bar business? Jeebus, can y'all not jump down his throat? Melo may or may not sign - all the OP is doing is passing on what he's heard, and he's a poster who's been around since before made-up sports rumors became a popular thing to do.
i think both ideas can exist at the same time. melo has decided to join the rockets for the minimum as been heavily reported, and he is also trying to negotiate a starting role and minutes into the contract. as i said earlier, we should want him to start. he's one of the best 1st quarter players, and we struggle with slow starts to the 1st and 3rd quarters. i'd say we should agree to the starting role but we can't guarantee when or how much he plays... or at least more that 24-28mpg depending on matchup.

Melo’s agent trying to negotiate a minutes demand or starting role before completing the signing is certainly possible. But in OP’s post he claims that Tilman said Melo is in on the precipice of not comig here at all, and his clickbait ass title makes it appear like Melo is almost certainly not coming here. This at best sounds like the telephone game irl where Tilman made some off hand comment like: OP’s ‘Friend’: “Is Melo going to sign here?” TF: “I don’t know, still a lot of contract stuff to work out” Which morphed into: OP’s ‘Friend’: “Tilman said he doesn’t think Melo is going to sign here!” OP (to himself): *I better get my barber’s license quick! Don't think Melo's coming off the bench. We speculate because we are left in the dark. Morey and Co would have known his stance since the meeting in Vegas. I don't see either of them suddenly changing their mind weeks later from what was talked about.
