Wow!! 10 pages for a player who never got into the rotation or played any meaningful minutes? o_O

Tealman Ferpitta is crazy for allowing such a valuable asset to be traded!!

How much cash? Like 2.4 million? So Melo cost us Onuaku?

Pretty sure we wanted to move him, regardless of the need. Dude hadn't improved at all in 3 years.

    Good luck in China, China-nu!

No, he got minutes and played decently at best. Didn't really see anything that made me think we wanted to keep him. I don't think he was bad, just didn't have much use on this team at his age and NBA experience level. At this point, we are done developing. We can draft guys and set them up for their future but unless they turn the corner their first year or second year then we move on.

I tell you guys what, I'll check out some of his recent play on youtube and look at a few stats so I can refine my opinion.

if Tilman wants to dip into our asset pool to facilitate a trade of a non rotation player to save $5-6M in taxes - MORE POWER TO HIM!

Christ, the man just signed off on giving 4/160M for CP3 and another 80-90M for CC... but some folks gonna b**** about 1.5M from the asset pool - that we probably wouldn't have used anyway... smh....

He's progressing better than I thought. Your right, his junk yard dog mentality and work effort to get better put him leaps ahead of the other guys I listed.

    Amazing, right? :D

Nanu was lazy and rarely gave much effort on the court. He sucked in summer league his 1st, 2nd AND 3rd years. He's the absolute definition of a scrub.

Don't waste your time. The only think he has going for him is his age and health. He still could become a backup, but he won't contribute on a team with championship aspirations.

Hopefully he gets playing time there and improves.

Probably the most useless pick we had; and at a good spot too (37th).

That said, wouldnt be surprised if this is to clear a roster spot to take back two players in a Ryno trade.

Could we not use the TE on something else?

Dallas has the right to swap for Houston's 2nd round pick, for the GSW 2019 2nd rounder which can be conveyed in 2020. That pick is lower than Houston's. This plus 1.54 M , which is equivalent to Chinanu's salary has been sent out by Houston. Dallas has the advantage with the pick, throughout the second round. You may ask anyone else about it, because it is possible that I may be incorrect.

You keep him, pay him 1.5mil salary plus LT.
You waive him, pay him 1.5mil salary as he is under contract.
Trade him to Mavs with 1.5mil cash u save LT.
