jake vs Tucker? Right now, experience wins the day. By next year, the story will be different. Agree the improvement is small if it exists at all.
Sadly he is an improvement....... Tucker has a .220 slugging percentage. Tucker will get his chance, and is still in the long term plans....... he just isn't ready yet.
And better for Tucker to get consistent ABs versus sitting in the majors. If he finds his stroke, he might still get another chance before the playoff roster deadline is my guess.
Can’t believe I’m saying this but I’m glad Jake is back. Tucker called up was a bit of a disappointment. Might as well bring Jake back for his defense if Tucker is going to hit .150
Tucker hasn’t been playing so he might as well get more at bats in Fresno instead of watching from the dugout. Plus, the FO/Hinch are more comfortable with JM at CF instead of Kemp with Springer out for now.
I understand in theory I guess why Jake was called up. But I fully expect him to have 3 strikeouts tonight. And tomorrow. And the day after. Jake has had a much longer leash this season than a rookie who didn't even break 50 ABs. I suppose having Altuve/Correa on the DL necessitated this more than anything
jake is the sexiest mofo in the room and according to everyone in the club house, the life of the party. Tension is going to be a little awkward when Osuna gets here, who else to cut the tension than Jake I hate that he was sent down and I hate that tucker is being sent down no. Can't they both stay?
Also needing a legit CF with Springer likely out tonight. Also worth noting that Marisnick had a 0.950 OPS and 0.400 OBP in June right before he was sent down. He's generally terrible, but he has his moments at least.
