Donald Trump on Thursday called for his likely Democratic rival Hillary Clinton to be imprisoned.
"I will say this, Hillary Clinton has got to go to jail," Trump told supporters here as he slammed Clinton's foreign policy speech earlier in the day in which Clinton called Trump dangerous and "temperamentally unfit" to be president.
"Folks, honestly, she's guilty as hell," Trump said of the Clinton's use of a private email server during her time as secretary of state.

Eleven House Republicans — Ron DeSantis, Andy Biggs, Dave Brat, Jeff Duncan, Matt Gaetz, Paul Gosar, Andy Harris, Jody Hice, Todd Rokita, Claudia Tenney, and Ted Yoho — have signed a joint letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions calling for the criminal prosecution of Hillary Clinton and a variety of other Obama administration appointees, career FBI officials, and even Trump appointee Dana Boente, who is currently the FBI’s general counsel.

It's plainly obvious at this point that Trump didn't collude or conspire with "the Russians" and even more obvious that the Russians had no impact on the outcome of the election. At this point, what is Mueller's charade all about? A charade that was started under false pretense by a fake, unverified dossier that was commissioned by the DNC? A charade that was started through dishonest media reports, spurred on by the corrupt and partisan leadership of the FBI and CIA, who were on a self-described mission to "stop Trump" from becoming President? The entire basis for the Special Counsel's investigation has not only crumbled but has been exposed as a partisan effort to remove Trump from office despite having zero evidence that he committed a single crime. All the while, this investigation and the media's breathless, foaming at the mouth reporting of it is ripping the country apart and impeding progress.

It's past time to end this fake investigation and I credit Trump for defending himself against the lies and smears. It's shocking that there are people who still defend the investigation after all of the bias that has been exposed. Any output from the investigation will simply be met with partisan fighting -- so what's the point? The point is obviously not to protect the country from Russia spending $200 on facebook ads in Michigan or similarly meaningless activity -- that farce has already been exposed.

Not sure why he's so concern. Colluding is not a crime.

 

This fitful exercise of Trump's -- where he says someone should shut down the investigation, nothing happens, and he doesn't do anything about it but complain again -- makes him look very weak. Hard to respect a guy with the powers of the presidency who never fears to take unilateral action but complains weakly weekly about the hoax witch hunt and never does squat about it. Show us you're a real man, Donald Trump, and fire Sessions, Rosenstein, and Mueller. You can't make an omelette without cracking a few eggs.

If there was some secret memo issued that was uncovered, it would be a big scandal. But since trump comes right out and tweets it, people seem to shrug it off. But...

GOP congressmen is doing a Mueller a favor by refusing to protect the investigation. This tweet and TRump signaling wouldn't occur otherwise.

Where does 45 dream up "17 democrats"? It used to be "13 democrats." But of course, a lot of the folks are republicans. It sounds like dimensionality in string theory, but here its like a delusionality measure.

Well, we always knew that this unstable con man would fully test separation of powers and the fabric of our governance. We've always known it would come down to exactly what line, if any, this Republican-controlled Congress would draw for the infant-in-chief.

Will they let him cancel the investigation outright?
If not, will they let him just pardon himself and his family (if he doesn't toss them under the bus first)?

 

But Sessions can fire Rosenstein, which would effectively end the investigation.

Of course it would also launch the country into a full blown Constitutional crisis but that's just window dressing.

This is not obstruction of justice, it's obstruction of injustice, and this injustice should be stopped. The entire basis for the Special Counsel's investigation has proven fraudulent. And now it's clearly just a setup to 'get Trump'. This partisan setup and fake investigation should be shut down immediately. It's a total sham. If someone was lying about you, throwing your business associates in prison, investigating your family, and you knew all along it was based on false pretenses and totally untrue allegations -- how exactly would you react? Trump has been gracious in letting this charade go this long, quite honestly. It's bad for the country at this point for it to continue.
