That sound you hear is the Rockets owner jumping up and down and counting his financial windfall.

It's a little tricky since Tilman's casino is not part of MGM, but he's part of the NBA so he's going to get some money out of it for sure

Super exciting news for me. I waited a long time for this. I created a sports betting "concept" app about 4 years ago and it's finally time to let it loose. In about 3-5 years sports betting will be legal in about 20 states.

It is shocking to me that Americans cannot bet on the NBA unless you're in Vegas?

Is that what it currently is?

    Seems really bizarre.

What was the idea behind that federal law being passed in '92?

My viewpoint only comes from the fact being in Sydney, I have 5+ gambling sites ready to bet on on my phone at a seconds notice, plus physical places to go in and do the same in every suburb.

Gambling and sports were taboo outside Nevada for fear of corruption
    It’s finally becoming mainstream

Not all states will allow for this because of conservative views that gambling will cause negative social results

But this a giant step forward for gambling
