I really hope we're still going to add a bat.

Apparently the Astros were in on Pham. Interesting. I wouldn't mind Dietrich or Bour from the Marlins.

I really hope we get him. Need a veteran presence because apparently everyone is hitting like they just got called up from AAA

Pham would have been a good get. Looking for similarly valued players on teams that might sell: Nimmo, Rosario, Myers, Conforto, Pillar, Soler. Lesser but still controllable options: Castellanos, Dietrich.

I'd honestly love that. He'd fit in instantly and be a huge boost at 3rd and then DH once everyone is back.

We have 5 or 6 guys that can do that now. They just haven't been doing it lately.

Who in the lineup that's been used for the last week?

    Gurriel, Reddick, Kemp, Springer, Bregman

If Correa and Altuve aren't coming back, then yes that's a major f**king problem, but one assumes they are. This is still basically the same lineup that was historic last year, and 2nd best this year.

I feel like Astros make a big deal to take the spotlight off Osuna. Not just a small one either...

I hope Club Astros can unite and Osuna addresses the complete team. Maybe the team can get it together.

RN the aura seems off and Twitter is having a field day. ESPN, all media are thrashing the Astros.

I said "They just haven't been doing it lately".

    What he said.

What would an Astros equivalent package look like?

At first glance it looks like a light package for a guy like Pham even tho he has came back to earth this season, but still with a lot of team control left.

    The lineup isn't the same.

Marwin/Reddick had career years and McCann has been hurt all year.

Gattis is so streaky you cant count on him to be hot in the playoffs.

Derek Fisher, Brett Adcock, and Justin Ferrell would be my Astros equivalent. I’d have been stoked for that deal.

One could easily look at him and say he's basically the OF version of Marwin Gonzalez. Better hitter, less positional value but coming off one huge season he was never gonna come close to repeating.

Yes, we aren't as good, that's why our team OPS plummeted to 3rd best in baseball before Correa and Altuve went down. It would be like watching the Rockets missing Harden and groaning about how bad we look.

We might add a bat to be safe, but this is still one of the 5 best offenses in baseball.
