Astros Trade option(s)

I doubt anything will come of this, but it could be a bit of a Josh Fields situation where the Astros trade a player who largely doesn't fit on their own roster for a sleeper piece from the other team. The Indians have some interesting pieces in the AZL. I doubt they'd part with Valera, there maybe a workable deal somewhere. The Astros didn't have a problem trading them Hoyt, and Straw may be able to approximate Marisnick's value.

 

Guys I would ask for:

LHP Sam Hentges
SS Raynel Delgado
SS Tyler Freeman
OF Will Benson
SS Ernie Clement

Any one of those guys would be a great return for Marisnick.

So they got their lockdown closer. Now they need a bat and to see if Miami will bite on a lopsided Realmuto deal.

In save situations he was. I don’t get the mentality that closers have to be perfect. Verlander has and will have starts again where he gets rocked, even Altuve sometimes goes 0 for 4, happens to every player. Closers shouldn’t be put on pedestals as indestructible above every other player.

Nah, I think most are happy that Giles is gone and no longer have to wonder about him and his gas can.

Osuna should be fine overall.

 

I feel like the stros are done which I'm fine with. Would the consider taking a chance of Hanley Ramirez at the DH?

 

Astros should try to acquire Beltre. Would be a huge positive on and off the field.
