I think Tucker has to start. He's that guy now on this team now that Ariza is gone. I think between Melo and Ennis, you gotta start Melo. Capela, Tucker, Melo, CP3, Harden Gordon Nene Green Ennis That's the rotation there. CP3 and Harden with the PG duties with Gordon and Green taking up the rest of the PG duties. I doubt MCW gets to play much unless he really impresses on defense and shows that he can make lay ups again. I think there is hope there that one of Hardenstein, Qi, Nanu and step up and take most of the back up minutes at 5. Tucker, Melo, Green, Ennis < Tucker, Ariza, LMM, Green. LMM during the regular season played really well. Not sure where we get that defense from.
The statement I bolded isn't remotely true. Luc was playing solid rotation minutes throughout February. In fact, we won every ****ing game in February, dude.
Luc played well at SF. I remember our Power Forward rotation being a huge weakness, minus Tucker's defense. His 3 point shooting seemed to get hotter as the season progressed.
I think to have an effective team, you can't have all of your best players starting. I think Tucker is the Rocket's most versatile player; he can play the 3, 4 or 5. To me a player like that is better served coming off the bench. With Harden, CP3, Melo and Capela in the starting unit, the Rockets have more than enough scoring, you need somebody that focuses on defense - James Ennis.
I'm so confused. Half of you are saying Ariza, LMM were huge parts of your success Other half is saying otherwise Is it somewhere in the middle? I know CP3, JH and Capela were the key guys according to that 42-3 stat.
They help during the regular season for sure. Ariza more than Luc since he got injured twice. During the playoffs Ariza was the only one of the two that really help us. And he will be missed in the locker room and his leadership. Ariza defense was good against gsw but his shooting didn’t help us much. But also we asked too much of him at times and he play a lot of minutes. Ariza for sure will be missed Luc not as much but would have been good to have kept him. If we get someone like batum or James Johnson I think they would be missed less.
Yep. For some people here, the all-time great duos list: MJ+Pippen Shaq+Kobe Stockton+Malone Hakeem+Ralph Ariza+LMM Robinson+Duncan
I think Melo should start at the 4, and Ennis starts at the 3. Offense and D. That way you can play Anderson with Tucker. Shooting and D. If Tucker starts, it’s going to be a mess defensively when Capela, Tucker and Paul head to the bench towards the end of the 1st.
CP3, JH, and capela's 42-3 stat is for real. ariza+LMM were more important to matchup with against the warriors. the crowd hyping them up is focused on the WCF. so we will still have a great regular season record but we are farther from being able to beat the warriors that we were last year.
Ariza was very very important to the Rockets success especially during the playoffs. Melo might bring more scoring but on the defensive end we will certainly miss Ariza. Luc was big during the regular season but was a non factor due to injury and playing time in the playoffs. I can live with that loss. Morey needs to figure out something else besides Ennis ( which I like ) and Melo.
I mean you can't really prove that. I understand why you're saying it but the Warriors will be a different team next year as well. Not saying Boogie will make them worse but they'll be different even if only slightly.
Just give me an attitude, I could care less what size he is Harden and Paul will playing chess while steph and kevin are playing checkers
