Here is the thread on the blues jays message board when the incident occurred. Say there might be a video out there. https://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/threads/8324-Roberto-Osuna-ARRESTED
Great baseball move. questionable guy. 75 game suspension for domestic abuse. Have to trust the Astros organization that they did their due diligence on this 23 year old. He will have his day in court Wednesday...see what happens. Chapman of the Yankees was also suspended for domestic abuse....and he has moved on from it and become one of the top closers in the game. Cincinnati Reds closer Aroldis Chapman allegedly fired eight gunshots in the garage of his Miami-area home following an October argument with his girlfriend in which she told police he “choked” her and pushed her against a wall, according to police reports obtained by Yahoo Sports. Charges I believed were dropped. Need to see what happened with Osuna....again, we have to believe Astros did their homework on this guy and believed enough in him to offer a second chance.
If he wants good dudes I can put together a beer league softball team that I'm sure he will enjoy. The Astros are the Anti Texans.
AKA david paulino and hector perez. along with some minor leaguer I've never heard of named Kenneth Giles. @Buck Turgidson
Options for the postseason bullpen look really stout today 1. Osuna 2. Rondon 3. McHugh 4. Peacock 5. Pressly 6. Devenski 7. Smith 8. Sipp 9. Morton/McCullers 10. Harris 11. Perez Not too mention prospect call-ups
True, I guess out of baseball is unlikely. But he'll definitely be gone from the Astros if there's any more incident.
A quote I find interesting from a poster. "Osuna was charged with basic assault. Had he actually thrown his gf down the stairs or punched her in the face he'd be charged with assault causing bodily harm or aggravated assault. He will not be facing any jail time." Basic assault? This case will be thrown out. Settlement to be had prolly.
We were carried by core players that were drafted, none of those players we traded for were consistent and none of them carried us. Well, maybe Fiers for a stretch. Also, all of them are gone except Gattis and they all have a negative connotation when mentioned. None of them were impact players and the opportunity cost to get them were all very high. Luhnow wins small trades and PTBNL trades, the only big trade I consider a success is Cole and I think the world of Luhnow. Happ, Foltynewicz, Hader; All Stars
Yeah if this doesn’t work for the bullpen, then nothing will. There are a handful of teams with a better closer and a couple with a better set up man but no one has this type of depth.
The haul we got in the Cosart trade, the fact that we got anything for Carlos Lee, Josh Fields for Yordan Alvarez. ...oh yeah, and the 2017 World Series No front office is perfect, you can focus on their duds all you want, I'll focus on the successes.
Of course I do. But Paulino still cheated. Yet somehow all the self-righteous police here are demanding to dictate how i move my moral compass. I’m sure the same people would have no problem deep down trading for Chapman as long as it makes the team better. Anyways, I’m going to stop before all the SJWs come out in full force and accuse me of condoning domestic abuse which I assuredly don’t. I’m an Astros fan and this makes the team better, that’s the bottom line. I trust Lunhow did his research and I trust he will do what’s necessary if issues arise. Also, who is this Jeff Passan Guy and why is he such a douche?
