Dominant young closer under control for a while. He’s a difference maker, especially for this team in particular. From a baseball perspective, this is a GREAT move. Yes it’s very out of character for the organization, but it shows you how much they want to win. I’m shocked actually. Not sure how to feel about it personally, but I guess I’d rather have him than face him pitching for someone else.

Those of you saying you won’t be able to ever root for him are so full of it. I for one will be cheering him on to get that last out to win any game when the situation arises. Didn’t Paulino get suspended for PEDs? And people are upset he’s gone? Why is it suddenly more than ok that he cheated? Or does one deserve a second chance but not the other? I’m not defending what Osuna allegedly did but we need to be consistent.
As a Blue Jay fan, speaking specifically about baseball... You guys got an amazing talent in Osuna. He's got ice in his veins, dont think his stuff is particularly amazing. Nothing seems to faze him, he'll get in trouble but he won't change the way he pitches.
I like the trade for wining now, Giles was gone and burnt his bridge with A.J. I don't care what A.J. says. We don't know the facts on Osuna but management did their vetting and I'll defer to their leadership on this and until I see different I trust Luhnow....at any rate we'll find out more after his court date next week.
It sucks we got a human like Osuna, but from a baseball standpoint, I am so glad we got rid of Giles. Dude was snakebit.

Osuna served his suspension. Was he charged in court? Case closed. If he does it again, that's another matter. Will he help us win? The guys in the clubhouse will welcome him if he proves himself a winner. And those who don't like the trade now will like it then. This FO is used to being disliked, doubted, and hacked. Trust the process.
