Jesus ****ing christ. 2nd and 3rd, 0 outs, two innings in a row and NOTHING to show for it. That's all I can stomach today I'm afraid. Here's to hoping the trade deadline brings good tidings for us all.
Whelp....all teams hit a bump every now and then....such a long season. But this **** is depressing.....Because we've been so spoiled the last year. Regardless. Go Stros! Gotta get healthy. BTW....it's too ****ing hot outside.
I posted after the Colorado series... this team is in for a rough 2 weeks or so. Good time to whittle down the casual reactionary type followers who've never experienced much losing here.
Astros runs per inning for 2018: 1st: 0.48 (rank 23) 2nd: 0.59 (rank 4) 3rd: 0.37 (rank 25) 4th: 0.71 (rank 2) 5th: 0.50 (rank 17) 6th: 0.58 (rank 12) 7th: 0.66 (rank 2) 8th: 0.62 (rank 4) 9th: 0.38 (rank 10) I don't know really know what to make of this. Too tired to really try. Early innings are strangely scattered. The Astros do like to wait until the last third of the game to do something at the plate, but we already knew that.
That makes no sense. You know first hand this team should be playing better baseball, and very well will correct the course prior to the post-season. Act like you've been here before. For a team that's yet to have anywhere close to a losing month, there's sure a lot of panic at the disco. Nobody seems to remember last August apparently. Key members of the lineup are down. Others likely pressing in response to it. Plenty of AAAA players that would otherwise have no business being up here. A bullpen that funnily enough actually looks worse without Giles. A pitching rotation that while still healthy, is likely going to be at or close tot he dead arm stage of the season, and probably will make plenty of use of all the upcoming days off.
