Anderson is a rotten apple nobody wants to pick up off the ground when they can use that money for a ripe one. How do you get rid of a rotten apple for a high price? It seems like giving up a 1st round pick and young prospects, or even more draft pics is going to be our loss to gain someone who can provide some defense now. Risky, but probably our only bet. Why did you just give up Ryan? Even Osweiller didn't give up. He was great in his own eyes, even though his self-esteem way much greater than his skills.
I would love to get Johnson and shump for Anderson. The rockets would be insane on both sides for this season, be really hard if not impossible to keep that team together tho. Cp3/ego/shump JH/ego/shump Melo/Ennis/shump Tucker/Johnson/melo Clint/tucker/nene That’s a sick 9 man rotation Top 3 on both sides imo.
LOLOL. Mods, please rename title to (Windhorst): Rockets looking to get rid of Anderson; Kellerman thoughts to follow.
James Johnson PJ Tucker Carmelo Anthony James Harden Chris Paul I like that going at the Warriors death line up.
Whats the target goal for 3P%? Like 33% right? thats 1ppp. If he can hit 1 out of every 3 I'll take it with everything else he'd bring on the court.
If we can get Luc up to 36% with that shot then we can def get Johnson higher than that, but 33% is acceptable haha.
I don't mind it as much as many in this thread. Even now Batum is an athletic wing with plus size and length. He was dealing with a nagging elbow injury that kept him out for most of the beginning of last season. He had been averaging over 34 minutes a game and playing over 75 games a season for the last 6 years, so maybe some wear and tear concerns. Younger than Ariza with some playmaking ability. As he got healthy, there was a stretch from January to March last season where he averaged 14/7/6 while shooting 44%, before he shut it down to rehab (with his team firmly out of the playoffs). His defense is still there, and his offense should improve with playmakers like CP3 and Harden. I like some of the other names floated in this thread more, I just am not as down on Batum. He is playable (vs Ryan), gives us another defender to throw at GSW, and another playmaker to keep CP3 and Harden's minutes down.
portions wouldnt even count as a useful basketball player in the Phillipines much less a point forward for an NBA team.
