    How would he accompish that with no hard cap and, even if there was the superstars are still taking discounts to join other teams? ;)

    Completely different jobs. In the NFL the person in that position has become a puppet for the owners and not much else. It's ownership vs the players.

    In the NBA, the person in that position has responsibility protecting and growing the game, they work with a broader range of people and keep an open mind.

    The NFL has the weakest union in sports. The NBA is one of the stronger ones. No way Goddel has that kind of power in the NBA.

    @air, Going towards Ziggy's point, Goddell would actually have more power in the NBA and could enact things much easier in the NFL, yet you are super correct where he'd be against a much stronger union.
