Robert Mueller, Former F.B.I. Director, Is Named Special Counsel for Russia Investigation

This is an important bit of news, I think: it's like the immune system actually working.
This is why you can't allow crooks to populate the judicial branch (e.g., like what's happening in Poland right now).

If we can emerge from all of this, America and both parties, I mean, maybe we can all (or most of us) look back on 45 as a stress test for our democracy.

 

Uh oh... it appears trump's biannual performance review meeting is being postponed to "the first of next year" (iow, never).

 

Don't know if true about Nunes (why do so many media types pronounce it "Nunez"? He's Portuguese descended, not Spanish.) It would fit the narrative. Why review the actual info when you can spout whatever you want in front of the cameras, anyway?

Mueller must be getting close... trump defender files articles of impeachment for rod rosenstein...

 

It seems like Rosenstein either wanted to get impeached or that he's hiding something. They gave him ample time to follow the law and turn over those documents.

Basically right now it's a threat to see if that will get him to comply and turn over the documents they requested months ago. If he continues to hold out, they'll impeach him but they aren't going to do it yet.

Looking at the bright side: So these current crops knew how to file an impeachment.

Gee, I wonder why trump's latest offer to testify if questions were confined to "collusion" and excluded "obstruction"...

 

Its been interesting watching the republicans degrade themselves in their continuing efforts to defend the indefensible. Here is andy mccarthy on laura ingraham's show. "Look, I don't think that it's bad if campaigns are turning to foreign governments for dirt. It's not collusion. It's not something that's impeachable; it's icky, but that's what this is."

 

Seems that Trump and Trump Jr were aware that the Russians were offering dirt before they met with them and were enthusiastic about the meeting.

Since JR testified under oath, so he is now guilty of perjury and Trump is indeed guilty of collusion.

So now the question becomes is Colluding with the Russians a crime? There is no law against it. Trump is free to work with the Russians to fix a US election to help him win from a legal standpoint.

Unless Congress decides it's not ok.

The crime is called aiding and abetting computer intrusion, as noted by the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act.

Trump's Stooge's Anglicized version is "noon--ness",

 

Not as bad as what we do to French names in this country.
