Did you sign up for a Houston Rockets fan site just to refute some non-existent rumor about the NHL...especially when a majority here think, if anything, it would be the Coyotes? Weird.
Lol. Clutchfans is pretty damn strong, for a freaking basketball site, A BASKETBALL SITE, to have some dude sign up and register to set our asses straight about the mighty NHL Nashville Predators.
The thread is about Houston getting a NHL team I did not start the thread, so who ever did is the one in question. I am also not the one to bring up the Predators moving to Houston. All I said is that Nashville is not a option to relocate to Houston or anyother city in North America.
Actually we have the football team but Adams never moved out of Houston. He sold his condo up here 3 or 4 years ago. So as someone said on here early about losing Adams, you never did he stayed in Houston.
It's not about the city not wanting a team. It's about why. If they don't go to the playoffs within 3 years the team will fail and have to move. This city does not have loyal fans.
The Astros, Rockets, and Texans have all endured much longer playoff droughts. The Astros in particular didn't make the playoffs for nearly two decades.
Heard hockey was actually a fun sport to watch but I refuse to support a Dallas team. Perhaps I'll follow the new Vegas team.
Several nice Boston folks hang out at a local sports bar so I was vicariously cheering for Bruins last Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Yes. Like the like Football. LA has had a 2 team for DECADES. The Aeros were a successful franchise in the minors and only left because of a Power Play by Les Alexander.
I'd rather have a minor league team back here. I used to enjoy going to Aeros games; cheap, fun entertainment. I've heard that NHL tickets have the highest average cost in American sports.
Its a huge risk/gamble. Tillman could try and take it on, but whoever does is likely to cut their losses (like these owners looking to sell the teams are) within a few years. The team would have to win, and win fast, to gain traction. Colorado did that. Dallas did that.
