Maybe the Rockets didn’t trust his shoulder.

    Noted.

I'm hoping Capela, Tucker, and CP3 are enough. Any combination outside of the other guys (Melo, Gordon, Harden, Ennis, Ryno, Nene) will be enough if we can keep everyone healthy, motivated, and focused which CP3 does with his teams... at least during the regular season. I mean really, for the vet min. Nothing to really complain about. I think he'll shut lots of people up. Everybody talking $hit about him on BSPN and other shows. I hope he comes in with a chip on his shoulder, but leave that ego out of the gym. None of the remaining guys left really intrigue me and probably won't move the needle much.

Hood has been said to be a part of the Cavs rebuild, they would gladly match our TMLE offer.

Ennis should start at the 3 with Tucker going back to the bench to solidify the 2nd unit. Green would then come in for Ennis as well.

Luc signed for the minimum last season for a reason. Nobody even knew who he was until he played for us. People just assumed he was CP3's version of Bobby Brown.

This isn't true. He was an advanced stats darling before the year. Go back and read the thread when we signed him. A lot of people were excited. He had really turned himself into a player.

The one reason this could work is CP3.

The Rockets let Luc walk because he didn't have surgery and is not dependable moving forward with that shoulder.

These one year deals are setting up for next year's free agency period when the Rockets have picks and the ability to dump Ryan Anderson as an asset.

I think the Rockets front office were planning to semi punt for next off season and it has turned out that they may be on the same level as last year's team.

What are you blabbing about? At least post a link to what I said since you can’t even debate my post because you stink at it.

When this season starts Luc will have been on 7 teams in 7 years, 2 stints with LA.

I also like this quote on your evaluation of cp3, "At least Dwight dragged a team to the finals. What's Paul's excuse?"

Did you really just compare cp3 to dwight? Crow eating at its best.

i'm so glad you're not the GM. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

If you didn’t know who Luc was because last season you are a 16 year old who just started watching the NBA. I’ve seen him play with the Bucks years ago. He’s about as known as any NBA vet.

That could work. I still wouldn't expect Ennis to play more than 20-25 minutes a night but something like the below makes sense. The starter/backup at the 3 & 4 are mostly polar opposites which allows us to hide offensive or defensive deficiencies. Whoever the PG is with the 2nd unit will have fun feeding 1 of Gordon, Green, Tucker, Anderson. That is a pretty solid unit. My guess is Melo and Green will not play together very often but I could be wrong.

    CP3/MCW or Melton
    Harden/Gordon
    Ennis/Green
    Melo/Tucker/Anderson
    Capela/Nene or Qi/Hartenstein (maybe Anderson)

Or the Rockets weren't 100% sure if Melo was going to take the vet min or mle thus having to have both options available.

I would have to imagine that we were offering something similar to our TMLE to get Ariza back, $15 M is a gross overpay and that contract would be underperformed by Morey standards.

I disagree however that he still wouldn't have started for us at the 3 with Ennis and Green as his backups. If for no other reason than the chemistry he's built with the team over the years.

If Anderson is on the team I expect him to get solid backup minutes, particularly over Nene, Qi, etc. He'll probably get a lot of backup 5 minutes.

In the regular season (and maybe some playoff matchups) he's still a useful weapon. He can't play against Golden State.
