    I truly believe Melo will be a good for the Rockets this season. The guy can still put the ball in the basket without James or Chris spending a lot of energy trying to create a play for him. Part of me want Melo to succeed so bad with the Rockets just to shut up the national media. Melo has flaws but the media make it seems like he is the older version of Anthony Bennett. As a Rockets fan, we all know how wrong the media can be towards the rockets. The media was wrong about the hiring of Coach Mike D, wrong about James starting at point guard, certainly wrong about implementing CP3 to the Rockets system with James Harden, and when we signed PJ Tucker and Luc they said Rockets dont play defense have to believe it to they see it. And after having an incredible season, the media was wrong again by saying it wont work in the playoffs and we were a healthy CP3 away from doing the impossible. I am onboard for signing Melo due to the fact he can score so easily and Morey and CP3 see value in Melo as well.

    You know, it will be what DM, JH & CP3 want. If they want Melo, and he comes the rest of us will just have to accept the fact and let the season play out to see if that was the correct thing for the Rockets.

    My concern is that signing Melo is what Harden and CP3 (or even Fertitta) wants... but not what Morey wants. I struggle with how Morey wants this, given Melo's poor efficiency, declining production, and advancing age. We have succeeded because of Morey's logic-driven approach, not because existing players commandeer the GM's decision making role by pushing their preferences on the team. I hope I'm wrong, but I rarely am.

    Morey been chasing Melo for years and has no reason to acquire Melo at the request of Paul or Harden. In that case he would have done it by any means last year when Paul was able to walk.

    He’s acquiring Melo because he believe in his system, your culture on the team, the leadership of his 2 best players and your coaching staff. Along with Melo understanding his role because this move doesn’t happen if everyone isn’t on the same page.

    You’re clearly wrong on Morey’s motivation, this is his vision. He’s not being forced to do anything.
