    Yes it is?

All the poster did that you quoted was put the exact same haul that is being reported.

Not sure what you’re talking about.

I have not seen Muscala included in any of the reports.

If OKC wants to buy him out, Melo will need to agree to a number, if OKC just want to waive him and stretch his contract payment over the next few years, yes they can do that and why they are still not doing that? Because they want someone else to take his contract to save more.

So if OKC will trade him, Melo will need to agree to that.

And if OKC will trade him to a team say the Kings and then the Kings to want to buy him out, Melo will need to agree to a number, and that means, before he can reach a number with the Kings, he will not agree to the trade.

And that's the point, unless OKC will just waive him straight without any buyout, basically this is Melo's decision on how this can be done and where he will end up.

If he doesn't want to play for the Rockets, no matter how many first rounders the Rockets will give to the Kings, it ain't going to work.

And assuming Melo do want to play for the Rockets, why would the Rox just give up some valuable assets to the Kings? The Rox can just wait for a buyout eventually will happen with the Thunder or even the Thunder may just cut him, and then the Rox can sign him straight.

If the Rox will want to dump Anderson, they will not want to get back Melo's contract through trade because it will actually cost the Rox to pay more taxes.

So the picture can not be more clear, the Rox will just wait it out for Melo.

And if the Rox will dump Anderson, most likely it will be a different deal and most likely we are taking back also a similar bad contract in some sort while we won't give up too much assets.

This is soo weird. I thought the whole point of getting rid of Melo was to save 100 million dollars in Luxury Tax, but trading Schroeder and muscala wouldn't OKC still be paying like 80 million dollars in luxury tax?

The difference being paying for 3 years vs 1 yr. If it works financially.

If that's true, and the holdup is Melo, then the Rockets "confident that they will sign Melo" makes it confusing. There's a disconnect somewhere.

The holdup is on the Thunder, they are the one that will cut the check.

They will try their best to try to trade him before they have no choice but to cut the check.

Roughly the same situation New York was in and Melo blinked first, which is my concern all along.

They don't want to pay tax for a non-contributing player who they would stretch and pay tax on for 3 years. If they can break it down to a package deal and get someone else to take an asset for eating more salary, that might be appealing for them?

icymi: Melo is being guarded by a 6'2 point guard on that play.

I'm not trying to defend OKC's offense, but that video is the result of running a play that got an easy mismatch for Melo.
