GS plays with 5 guards if u count Draymond, allowing them to switch everything. This takes away our pick & roll which hurts Capela. They're literally the ONLY team that can play us like this. Are you just now figuring this out?
Gut,s guys, guys. I just woke up to a dream in which I had a conversation with Capela. I told him if he would counter with 4/75 mill to Morey that it would be accepted. I think he's going to do it.
I figured it out two years ago and started calling for a trade then because I knew this day was coming. Did you just wake up?
Two years ago when Capela wasnt near compete as he is today, damn! You must be able to see into the future. Probs why all ur insider info and prospect reports are never wrong
You have to be able to see the future, yes. Capela cannot shoot. Therefore he cannot space the floor. And he lacks stamina on his best nights so his defense inevitably tails off from a high point that's not really that high. All that is a disaster against the Warriors. He becomes an offensive obstruction (because the Warriors shut down the pick and roll), and a defense sieve as the Warriors continually pick on him in iso after he's winded. Yes, I could see this coming. Instead of helping him with stamina issues and teaching him how to shoot we bulked him up and made him an alleged roller extraordinaire. It simple does not work against the Warriors. And giving him $15-20 million per season won't make it work. We should have bit the bullet and traded him a while back. And we really should be trying to sign and trade him now. If it is even possible. If we can't then unfortunately the next best thing is let him play on a two year deal with a player option at around $10-15 million per year so we can at least attempt to trade him during the regular season.
Trading him two years ago would not have gotten the rockets anything but a bench player and maybe a second rounder. Ur right against the Warriors he was in trouble but with out him we might not have escaped the first two rounds. At least not with just 1 loss. Dont discount his impact on being one of the very reasons the rockets were in the wcf to begin with. The play should be to find an athletic bench center that can keep up with the warriors or at very least not be a negivtive while there. Capela is needed to maintain the success we saw last season
Aside from Harden and Paul everyone's role is easily replaceable. Look what just happened with Ennis. As of now the Ariza role has been replaced but not for the better. Capela gets better every season and every season he plays with Harden and cp3 is one less season we have to wait for a center to play catch up

Capela got beat up by Curry. But not by Durant, Capela did very well when he switched on to him for the most part.
Wet don't need a center to play catch up. We need to go to the next level. A better defensive center that can switch and shoot the 3.
