Not interested in Hood at all. He was terrible in his role on the Cavs last season, if anything he'll have an even lesser role here.

Why would people not want Rodney but then vouch for Melo?? Makes no sense. All of the reasoning here for why we should stay away from Rodney could easily be applied to Melo.

I don't understand how this could even work unless it was a sign and trade? If we offered him a vet minimum contract surely the Cavs would just match.

Dude loves to shoot at TC though. Seems like he lit up the Rox's ass every time.

And I doubt Hood is headed to HOF. Similar roles but pefrormance expectation levels are very different.

Hood does not have Melo's offensive versatility, never mind proven production.

Rodney is so talented, but maturity issues in Utah got him traded. Rodney calling out teammates in Cleveland also.

Hood’s ability to shoot the rock could be downright scary next to Beard. Then again, maybe we can just grab Korver.

I’m always weary of locker room cancers, but I trust CP3, Tuck & Nene to keep our guys in line. Nene got that big’oh Brazil Penis.

And Nene only has one nut. You don't mess around with guys with one nut.

He was terrible in the Cavs because he didn't like his role or wanted to be there. It was obvious he had issues there. But he was definitely nice when he was with the Jazz. If we can get him, there are plenty of reasons to want Hood in this team.

Pretty sure Cav s will match that MINIMUM OFFER!

Just because I'm interested in Kate Upton, doesn't mean I got a shot, MR JOE VARDON

You are correct, if we signed him for the min then it would be matched.

Additionally, if we did a sign and trade, then we'd be hard-capped so that's not going to happen either.

We could potentially offer him the MLE but Cavs would likely match that

Wonder if there's some opportunity for a wink-wink deal, where we take on some of the Cavs' bad contracts with the understanding that they won't match our offer sheet

Something like Ryno (+Nene) for Tristan and Korver (or Clarkson) would save the Cavs a few million and get us some rotation pieces.

I don't see why he would like his role here. He's got Harden, CP3 and Gordon to contend with. He was clearly a guy who liked the ball in his hands.

Yes but he was much more prominently featured in that offense than he would be here.
