Le'ts hope for the best, though our options barring a trade is slim. The only real trade piece is EG, who I believe is still a valuable player. He is also an underrated defender. Harden might have to defend SF's despite Ennis' presence, this may open up more minutes for Eric. I haven't included Carmelo, who may or may not sign with Houston.
Ball Stopping??? Hmm... Touches Under 2 seconds- 52.1% Frequency(hit 37% of his 3s here and 53% of his 2s) 54.9 EFG% 2-6 seconds- 34% Frequency(Shaky efficiency here, should never shoot a 3 in these situations) Over 6 seconds 13.9% Frequency(48.4% from 2 here, thats money but can see the issue with the ball stopping for that long) PG was at 12.9 an was less efficient than Melo in these situations. Either 86% of his touches were under 6 seconds probably close to 3 or 4 seconds per touch on average. I'd like to see that over 6 seconds around where EGO's was last year at 11.4% Melo should also only shoot a 3 off the catch or 1 dribble. If not its to the rim or a true mid range shot not a long two 1 foot inside the 3 point line.
I'm glad we keep getting reports "things are going great", "Rockets are confident", "Melo is leaning towards Houston", "things are at the 2-yard line", ... let me know when he signs (or I guess when OKC actually releases him first)..
Basically see him as playing the role Mo Speights played for GSW. To me that is the best case scenario if he'll embrace it.
nah melo will be the second highest scorer on the team. mo speights played like 15,12,11 minutes a game with GS for those 3 years. I dont think you watched GS enough.
Or hes just giving his friend some free stuff. They get free stuff all the time and usually more than they need/want.
As big of a Black Hole he has been his entire career, I am more worried about his ball flowing defense on the other end. That's where he will really get us killed.
you follow his instagram right? don't you think he's out partying too much eating out and stuff, that's the vibe i get.
