If Morey and Chris Paul wants Melo. Then I want Melo. In Morey I trust! Well then there was Dwight, Royce White, jeremy Lin.... yeah...
As long as it is communicated between all parties that if Melo genuinely wants to be here, he'll do whatever D'antoni or Paul ask of him without any restistance.

That’s the only saving grace for me. I’ll trust CP3 and Morey on this one and hope for the best.

I think its funny that even many think they know what Tyoe of role Melo is willing to accept or not accept.

Only ppl that have an idea is Morey/MDA/cp3/harden.

And they all apparently want him so I’d imagine he’s willing to buy into the role that the rockets want and need.

The rockets have a defensive identity and elite rim rim protection with guys like cp3, Pj Gordon and Ennis. There D will be fine.

With the Bulls out of the picture the Kings are the only team left that can absorb Melo's contract and buy him out.

Looking more and more likely he gets stretched and waived. It's just a matter of when not if. Tic toc tic toc......

Kings- Carmelo Anthony, 1st Round Pick
    Thunder- Iman Shumpert

Kings waive Melo, Thunder waive Shumpert

    Rockets sign both

Melo we all know what he brings but Shumpert was drafted by D'Antoni, plays defense, can hit 3s and finally took the time to heal his body up.

We had a chance to beat the Warriors because we played great defense. Without that, having Carmelo Anthony's offense would not have saved us. If Ariza or Mbah a Moute shot just their career averages in Game 7, we would have won without needing an over-the-hill scorer.

Thunder had #10 defense with Melo on the floor last season.

Now this is the bigger picture! Rockets became a better defensive team because there was better on the court leadership (CP3) and all the players truly committed to playing harder and smarter on that end of the floor (especially Capela.)

It's annoying how long this is taking. Reminds of last year when we had to wait all the way until the end of September for a Melo trade to happen

no but shows that overall good team defense can trump or mask bad individual defense

Let's hope and pray Melo does what's best for himself and signs with the Miami Heat.

I wish the Rockets were confident they could trade Ryan Anderson.
