Lots of ppl will eat crow after they see how much melo will help next season. He’s not what he use to be but he’s still a good player.

    Aren’t 2 and 3 the same thing?

Or is that all you could find you forced the list upon us?

And he’s a drama queen how?

And please name a time where an NBA team tried to make him play his Olympic style in the NBA because it’s never happened.

So again are you simply making things up because of a lack of knowledge regarding Melo or do you just hate him?

MDA knows what he's doing and Paul is great at getting guys the ball in the right spots.

Melo is a scorer not a shooter and the space he'll get in this offense will help him a ton even though he's clearly lost a step.

Very True, but he will also b 3rd/4th option here...so just saying that the same stat line would be perceived differently if he was on a winning team

So if we get Melo to sign here would there be any money leftover to add Wade if he were interested in forming 3/4 of the Banana Boat team? Maybe a sign and trade with a pick, cash or young guy to Miami?

PG - Chris Paul / Dwayne Wade
SG - James Harden / Eric Gordon
SF - Carmelo Anthony / James Ennis
PF - PJ Tucker / Ryan Anderson
    C - Clint Capela / Nene

I can accept Melo on the team, I can accept that he isn't the player he once was and thats OK.

What I don't want to see is him looking out of shape, he is only a few whataburgers away from being the 6'8" Raymond Felton. Every year we hear about how he'll get back into shape, and every year he looks the same.

Yes,good points. If he gives a good effort most nights, and especially in the playoffs, I can live with his shortcomings. However, I'm skeptical of this, that's why I don't want him to join the Rockets.

Why the hell does the FO want to add this low IQ chucker. There is no bigger problem in the NBA than an old star player who all things considered is done but still consider himself the centrepiece of an offense. He destroyed the Thunder's season due to his outsized ego (compared with what remains of his talents).
Even worse, the Rockets have freaking D'Antoni as head coach, the guy that Melo ran out of the big apple. If Morey is indeed the best GM in the league, he should stay as far away as possible from Melo.

I mean who here wouldnt have taken 10-12 points from him in game 7? He’s at least good for that, right?

No, he is not. He MAYBE could be a microwave type of player from the bench but he still sees himself as an automatic starter and is worse than Harden has ever been on defense.

Looking at his numbers, his percentages are not bad. His shot distribution needs to be tweaked. He's taking too many shots from certain spots that he's not great at and he's not taking enough shots from the spots he's good at.

A little adjustment would do wonders for his shooting percentages. And he doesn't have to change his game. He just has to change the frequency that he shoots certain shots. He needs to shoot some of the shots he takes more and some of the other shots he takes less.

You know the Rockets analytics staff will let him know this. Like when Chris Paul came here, he drastically reduced the number of long 2's he was taking and increased the amount of 3's he was taking, and he had the second most efficient shooting season of his career because of it. It's the only the second time in his career that his TS% was over 60%. Carmelo could have similar success with a simple tweak in his shot distribution.

As morey was basically saying on cowherds show as he was hinting to melo, that more factors go in then just stats, he said guys that weren’t doing well on other teams started to perform better On the rockets due to fit and coaching.

I really do believe the influence of our system, Chris Paul and our coach can be a better fit for melo. I think he will adapt to the player we need him to be, will he be a superhero prolly not as those days are most likely gone but if you watched any film on him this year it’s still very apparent he had all star skills and moves and playmaking ability. Aslong as he can be molded into what we need I think he’s gonna work out better then what people may think

We’re also talking about a predictable thunder team. It was the Russ, Goerge and melo show, no one else was a factor. Melo isn’t the player he once was so he’s forcing a lot of shots because the rest of the team is trash offensively.

We have a team full of good players and harden and paul set people up nicely as Westbrick is nothing more than a last second dump off pass guy

I don't see how people could bring PJ Tucker off the bench after watching Rockets basketball last year.

again, in our system, the 3 and the 4 have identical responsibilities. Carmelo will be defending 1-2-3-4-5's here. On offense he can play either, obviously.

You are getting caught up in basketball thinking that is 10 years too late. ESPECIALLY true when looking at the play style of the Houston Rockets.
