I'm not gonna go digging through a bunch of stats and then look to see if he was playing through an injury and whatever... The bottom line is you look at a guys injury history and age and pretty much figure risks involved and how much you actually can realistically expect them to play... Harden I would expect to be available 90-95% of the year... CP3 I would expect 70-80%.... lower the % - higher the odds it could happen at bad time... I'll take your word for it on Beasley... all I know is we had a guy that could actually create and we shipped him for zero return... but if I'm understanding you correctly. you're saying in the future DM securing Beasley on that cheap contract should be viewed as a mistake that had to be corrected - rather than a shrewd acquisition? Certainly destroys my original assertion that DM isn't perfect and can make mistakes...
If he’s cheap why not? He can shoot the 3 a hell of a lot better than Ryno. Yeah he’s a little annoying but all we need is for him to score !!!!!!
My understanding is yes. Maybe a better armchair GM can elaborate on this subject. Why would Melo take anything more than the vet min? My understanding was whatever we pay doesn't affect his pay from OKC. They buy him out but we cant pay him on top of the money he's already getting, instead whatever we pay reduces the amount that OKC has to pay him and salary cap gets lowered too. So it would be most beneficial to give him a low contract to keep OKC's salary cap high and obviously not affect ours as much. There must be a flaw in my understanding as buyout targets still go for highest bidders.
Serious question. Who's the better player between him and Gerald Green? Both kind of have the same strengths and weaknesses.
Just terrible. He was bad with GS. He played well against us for a couple games of course but was terrible against most everybody else.
Lord help us if we're replacing Ariza and Luc with Melo and Swaggy. Warriors would score 300 points a game in the WCF.
Im telling you Swaggy P for Three is the quintessential upgrade to Buckaroo for 2 (Buck Johnson in the 90s Bill Worrell at his finest) My My I think I want to Croak lol
It's a 50% offset IIRC. Pay Melo $5 MM MLE: OKC pays him $2.5 MM less. So net-net, Melo gets $2.5 MM Pay Melo $2 MM minimum: OKC pays him $1 MM less. Net-net, Melo gets $1 MM Paying the MLE does two things: 1. Melo gets slightly more money (incremental $1.5 MM) 2. We have the ability to offer him a competitive salary next year without using the MLE (20% increase to 2019 salary via non-bird rights)
There a reason people gate swaggy p?, dude typically has a deadly shot. Perfect for our offense. Also harden and young = swag bros? Maybe Tucker
