Rockets do have the MLE. As I was going to say in the Ennis thread, ... Maybe the Rockets should try offering more than the minimum to one of these guys instead of saving the MLE for Melo and let Melo take the minimum. He's the one scheduled to make $28M. OK, so he gives $3M-$5M-$7M back in a buyout and he's still making $21M-$25M. And yeah, I've seen the Bima tweet roaming around here about offering the MLE helps with his next contract (what the Rockets can pay blahblahblah). Why are worried about then-35-year old Carmelo's next contract? If 35-year old Carmelo is looking to get paid next year, wellbye.gif
lol; Jeremy Lin is a disease ...as are his fans. Brooklyn knows it. OKC will soon find out. This will be the 2nd time a team has given up picks to get him off their roster. i'm sorry ...that's just too damn funny.
Wait so this would be so funny: D'Antoni left Melo because Melo wanted to leave D'Antoni because of Linsanity. But now Linsanity will bring Melo back to D'Antoni. I love you, NBA.
more irony. houston paid LA to take Lin off our roster. now brooklyn is paying OKC to take Lin off their roster. fool me once, shame on you. fool me twice, shame on brooklyn. it really does seem like they are fighting with the knicks for stupidest franchise.
Man, this fool cannot be seriously thinking of asking for more money after he's getting paid 28 mil a year, it cant be,...that cant be true.
I believe that conversation was abut Ennis asking for more than the Vet Min not Melo asking more than the MLE or Partial MLE being offered.
J.R. Its called long term planning. Its the gms job. People like you and others are thinking too much right now. Deadline is april 15th for this years team. You have to have a plan. Pretty sure morey wants to get melo for more than 1 season. If he doesnt work out the.n fine readjust. But you have to plan it out as if he succeeds.

Would expect the Rox to have a resolution on where Melo is going before looking for anybody else. Don't think we have roster spots for adding more folks after Melo (without trades).
Lin is still a productive player and probably would have played well in Brooklyn if not for the horrible injury he had. With Russell there he does become a luxury so being able to get rid of him and get draft picks back and free up more space for next offseason is just a smart forward thinking move by Brooklyn
