Lets see... trump's admin separates the families, then charges to have the kids returned to the parents?
In the spirit of july 4th and immigration... If Irving Berlin’s family had sought asylum in the United States today, they would likely have been deported — deemed criminals just for landing on American soil in their flight from persecution. The 5-year-old boy may have been kept in that holding pen, separated from his parents, until they were sent away to an unknown fate. As “God Bless America” celebrates its 100th birthday this summer, anyone who sings it should remember that it began as — and at root will always be — a love song to this country from an immigrant grateful to have been given a chance at a new life.
Jeez... ICE asking migrant parents whether they want to leave US with or without children: report http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-brief...portedly-telling-migrant-parents-to-leave-the here's the form:
None of the above should be a surprise. The GOP is a racist party, of course they won't just come out and say it since it would lose them elections, but we can see the proof in their actions.
At this point..if this is something you support...if you're ok with this...then I don't mind saying, **** you. If that gets me booted from this message board, so be it. But if you dare to take up the Cross while supporting something like this, you can kiss my ass. This is beyond politics at this point. I'm immensely respectful of different opinions, and I have been here, in particular, for years. But I have no respect for someone who would endorse something like this...particularly someone pretending to care something about Jesus Christ.
This has been a true cluster *uck by the trump administration they just don't think things through. I get that he want's to take care of the border but there is a way that it should be done we are not some 3rd world country.
Catch and Release is such a joke and a slap in the face to the rule of law. If someone is committing a crime, you don't ticket or charge them and then allow them to continue committing a crime. Their very presence in this country without authorization is a crime. If someone gets pulled over drunk, they get arrested and detained. The cop doesn't take them to the station, book them, and then drive them back to their car so that they can continue driving drunk. Seriously, fck these people. And for those of you more concerned with a spun up exaggerated controversy that is entirely the creation of foreign criminals than the sovereignty and future of this country, fck you too.
Your bizarre rant notwithstanding ... did you miss the part where this inhumane policy (and execution of that policy) may have now resulted in the separation of a U.S. citizen child from his/her U.S. citizen parents? Depriving U.S. citizens of constitutionally protected due process? Of course, the Constitution also calls for due process protection for non-citizens as well...
