Riley is basically the exact opposite of Morey, other teams throw horrible deals to some of his overrated players, and he matches them just for pride, now he's stuck with a super mediocre team with no future, full of overpaid bench players, unprotected picks traded away...welp.
Waiters and Johnson for Ryno + pick Miami would save money for multiple years -reduce this year's and next year's payroll by $5 MM -Ryno expires in 2020 while Waiters' $11 MM deal expires in 2021
I don't care about the paycuts, just pay the tax, that's what I want. We aren't restricted by the NBA, just ownership.
I don't think that trading Gordon is a viable solution as it just shifts the hole in the roster to a new position. I think them going with a younger guy like Ennis is much more likely.
@ch44 said EG is safe for now in his last update. I don't think that continues into the season when and if a player like Jimmy Butler becomes available.
Watch us end up with all the banana boat dudes minus Lebron lol Jokes aside, anybody has still that list of the available free agents? I'd tag J.R but i don't want to annoy him everytime lol
That would also fit with what Lowe said few days ago, which was basically "if the Rockets don't get a star they'll try to extend Gordon". But about this, isn't a player eligible to an extension only after three years? Or that's possible in the third year of contract?
Eric Gordon is not getting you "a true impact 3 and D wing". Those are the most important players in basketball outside of the stars.
just bringing up the scenario if were going by what cyberx is saying. other than that i would agree with HP3. If it isn't one, theres absolutely no reason to get rid of EG for this team.
